Oak Plaza Suites

For our anniversary trip to Ghana, choosing Oak Plaza Suites Kumasi turned out to be a great decision. The staff made us feel cared for from the start, and everyone we met was warm, kind, and helpful. You could tell they took pride in making guests feel welcome. Our suite was spacious, stylish, and comfortable, with thoughtful details that made it feel like home. I especially loved the huge bathtub, which became my nightly routine after long days exploring. The whole hotel was beautiful too. There’s a mall a short walk away, and we even saw a movie one evening. Ike’s Cafe & Grill was a lovely place for a romantic lunch. For a special occasion in Kumasi, I’d happily recommend Oak Plaza Suites. We left with memories we’ll treasure.

As of September 2025, I wouldn't recommend staying here. The pool, rooftop bar, restaurant, and gym were all closed for renovations. Arranging access to a gym in town didn't really make up for that. The breakfast we'd ordered ahead was far from what you'd expect for 210 cedis, and it arrived 25 minutes late. That's no good on a tightly scheduled business trip.

Don't judge this hotel by its exterior. Inside, the customer service was outstanding, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The bartender was great, as were the breakfast staff.

The suites were comfortable and well fitted, with a nice mix of luxury and relaxation. Staff were professional, friendly, and ready to help. I also felt safe, with private security and CCTV across the premises. The internet was fast enough for smooth browsing and remote work, and the gym had good equipment for keeping up my routine. Traffic near the main junction can make getting to the hotel difficult during peak hours. Even so, I had an excellent stay and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting somewhere comfortable and secure.
