The free breakfast had lots of choices, and they kept replenishing everything. I was there from 23 May to 27 May 2026. The hotel is central, and although the room was small, it was comfortable. Mine faced the street, though, and the noise carried on through the night. I’d ask for a room at the back.

I had a positive stay and would come back. The whole room was spotless, and the bathroom was roomy, even though the bedroom itself was small and warm. The bed was pushed against the wall and window, so you could only get in from one side. Its top layer wasn’t fixed in place, and shifted if you moved around in your sleep. The hotel is right in the city center, with bus stops nearby. From the airport, bus 3 leaves from the entrance and bus stop 14 is about a three-minute walk from the hotel, which can save money. The rooms marked “mountain view” face Sermitsiaq Mountain in the distance, but the old graveyard is directly below the window. “Sea view” rooms look toward the sea and cost a bit more. The hotel is quaint, with small but comfortable rooms. Reception staff were a disappointment when I asked general questions about town or getting around. I was told they didn’t know, didn’t use public transit, or didn’t send mail. Booking on the hotel’s official website seemed easier and more convenient than using a third party.

The first-floor cafe has a nice range of drinks, and the staff were friendly. This hotel is right in the center, so you can walk to pretty much anywhere in Nuuk. It has what you need for a stay and then some, though it isn’t as nice as its older brother nearby. Make sure your taxi driver hears “Express,” since ours took us to Hans Egens Hotel instead, which meant an extra five-minute walk.

The location was great, and the room was modern and clean. I’d switched at the last minute after a bad stay at another hotel in Nuuk, and spent one night here. The room was small, with the bed tight against the window and access from only one side. There was no coffee in the room either, which felt like too little for the high price I paid.

The mattress was very firm and the little pillow gave almost no support, so sleep wasn’t comfortable. That’s why I’m giving four stars. The room itself was simple, with a small bathroom, but the shower had strong pressure and got very hot. Everything in the lobby was kept very clean. Breakfast was included each day, simple but enough, and the cafe opened at 9am. It was a nice spot for coffee, a snack, or to warm up and relax. The location was ideal, within five minutes of lots of restaurants and a 15-minute walk to the tidal stairs for boat tours. There’s also a small grocery store on the ground floor. I stayed at HHE express in September 2025. My flight delay was 22 hours, so I missed a night, but the hotel refunded it. The front desk was extremely helpful, and quick to respond by email. I booked airport transfers through the company they recommended. Both rides were on time and efficient. Taxis can be limited, so I’d book a transfer directly instead of counting on one. There aren’t many reviews for places in Nuuk, so I wanted to share updated information. I’d definitely stay here again for the location, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and cleanliness.
