If you’re after a calm stretch of beach where you can have the place mostly to yourself, Cape Point Beach is a good spot.

You can just drop by Cape Point to look around and talk with the locals. It’s right by the beach at Sunbeach in Bakau, at the furthest point of the Gambia River. Fishing is good there too, and you can rent a rod for a few dalasi.
