Majula Boutique Hotel

The large windows opened onto an ocean view and a warm breeze, and the sound of the waves helped me fall into a deep sleep. The room was spacious and very clean. The property is right on the beach and also appeared to be wheelchair accessible. I enjoyed a refreshing swim in the clean pool. The bathroom's tankless electric heater made a hot shower feel like a luxury. For breakfast, there were three meals to choose from. My scrambled eggs tasted just like I make them at home, and the honeydew melon was surprisingly sweet. The owner seems to have paid attention to every detail in designing the hotel. I'd definitely stay again.

We've stayed here as a family for four weeks over the past year, and I can't fault the place. The service is excellent, with staff always ready to help, and breakfast portions are very generous. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The beds are very comfortable too, and there's good hot water.

The team are lovely, and the rooms are amazing. It's a fantastic hotel on the edge of Bakau, with access to a beautiful stretch of coastline.

Every room has an amazing ocean view, and the spaces are roomy, spotless, and staffed by a fantastic team. I originally booked my first night here and the last few nights elsewhere, before arriving in The Gambia. I ended up cancelling that other booking and happily stayed here for the whole trip. For me, it's the best hotel option in all of The Gambia.
