Woodpecker Resort

I’ve never stayed at a less accommodating hotel. There were seven of us for one night. Two people in our group paid for two rooms for the second day so we could leave our luggage and take a quick shower before our flight that evening. We discussed it with the staff and made the decision in front of them. They said nothing and happily took the extra money for those rooms for a couple of extra hours. We checked out early, expecting to be able to bathe later, but they wouldn’t even let us go upstairs to get our bags. The food was decent, but very slow. We ordered dinner a little after 20:30 and didn’t get it until sometime after 23:00. Two people in our party gave up and went to bed before their food arrived.

It’s close to the airport, no more than 5 min by car, and the free shuttle to and from the airport worked well for us. I’d only use this hotel for an early or late flight. The staff were friendly, and the room was basic but clean. There’s AC, but it was impossible to use at night because it was terribly loud. Free WiFi is available, though it only worked sometimes and was really slow. Breakfast was below average and cost extra.

The staff were so joyful and kind, and I really enjoyed the English breakfast. The food was excellent. Korea House also had a nice kitchen and a comfortable, spacious room where the kids could play and watch TV. On hot days, the air felt refreshing, and the pool was a welcome extra. Having internet access in the lobby was convenient. I can’t wait to visit again.

The rooms are small, and the restaurant was really discouraging. It could use an upgrade.
