The grounds are beautiful, full of trees, and there’s a large pool with calm groups of wild monkeys wandering around. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, balconies are nice, and the beach section with loungers is lovely. The food at the on-site bar is good, though beer costs twice what it does outside. People sell fruit, nuts, bracelets and massages on the beach; Didi and Mango are friendly, and I recommend them. For a four-star hotel, some things were disappointing. WiFi was among the worst I’ve experienced. It may not matter on holiday, but in 2026 it’s essential if you need to work, and I couldn’t even check email or basic messages. Africell and Q Cell need to invest. You can’t pay in advance, only on arrival, and card payment adds 4%, which cost me over 1000 dalasi. There’s just one free bottle of water however long you stay, with no place to refill a reusable bottle with clean water. There’s no room phone to call reception, and my key kept sticking in the lock. There’s also no TV, gym or on-site laundry. They offer to take laundry to R&R across the road and say there’s a 20% discount, but it’s cheaper to go directly.

The pool area stays fairly quiet and never felt overcrowded, and the beach is just a short distance from the hotel restaurant. My friend and I loved this resort and would definitely return. The grounds are stunning and well maintained, with a luxurious feel as soon as you arrive. Service was a 10 out of 10, the staff looked after us so well and couldn’t do enough. There’s lots of choice in the food and drinks, which were excellent and reasonably priced. The happy hour runs from 5 to 6, with two-for-one drinks.

After road-tripping through West Africa, I stayed here for a few days and found it incredibly relaxing. The room is only a few minutes from a great restaurant, the beautiful beach and a very nice pool, with exotic birds and monkeys roaming the property. I’ll stay here again when I return to Gambia. My favourite part was the sunsets and evenings hanging out at the restaurant. The local food is worth trying too, everything was so good. Highly recommend this place if you’re visiting Gambia.

We’ve just returned from two weeks here, and it was a very enjoyable, relaxing holiday. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout, especially Aida, who was brilliant when we asked to see other rooms. The beachside hotel bar and restaurant had good food at reasonable prices, and the place was very clean. Gardeners and pool staff were constantly looking after the grounds. It’s also well placed for local bars and restaurants, just a five-minute stroll from the Zenegambia strip. Our stay began badly in an apartment in the Stones block. It was small and on the roadside, within earshot of the local GTS bar, which was still pumping bass at 5 a.m. In the morning we spoke to reception, and Aida couldn’t have been more helpful. She got some keys and showed us the available rooms. For a small extra fee we moved to the Springs complex, which was a huge difference: a spacious lounge and kitchenette, large bedroom, two bathrooms and a big balcony overlooking the pool.

We had a lovely three-night stay. Since it was low season, it sometimes felt as if we had the place to ourselves. The staff were welcoming and friendly, with great service throughout. Our room was nice and had a small kitchenette, though the bed was a little small. There was one brief power cut, but the generator came on quickly, so it barely interrupted us. The lush grounds have lots of trees, three pools, plenty of birds and a couple of cheeky monkeys. The beach area is relaxing with a great sea view. WiFi there was limited, which helped us disconnect for a while. It’s a great base for trips to other parts of the country, with plenty of bars, restaurants, ATMs and supermarkets nearby if you don’t want to eat at the hotel every day. The hotel food is good and reasonably priced. Thanks for a lovely stay, I’m sure we’ll be back.
