For the price, this is very good value. The room was comfortable and had a kitchen, bathroom and balcony overlooking the pool, where we could cool off after a hot day. There’s a bar for drinks and snacks too. It’s just a few minutes’ walk to the beach, and a few hundred metres to the main street and its restaurants. There’s also a bike rental next door, handy for exploring places like Canal d’Amour and Cape Drastis.

The Wi-Fi in the room was weak, though it worked perfectly around the pool. That was our one small issue. We’d already booked a hotel in the far south of Corfu when we spotted this affordable option and decided to book it too, without expecting much. What a lovely surprise: the rooms were beautiful and comfortable, the pool spotless, and the staff extremely friendly. Getting there was easy, and it was genuinely great value for money.

The pool was nice, and the rooms were basic, but the air conditioning worked well. From our balcony we could see forest fires across Albania. There are plenty of good restaurants within walking distance.

The only little bother was the shower, as others have mentioned, but it didn’t get in the way of a lovely, relaxing week. We returned last week from a week at Tzilios studios and found it such a friendly, laid-back place. The pool area is beautiful, with plenty of loungers and umbrellas, so there’s no need to head down at dawn to save a spot. The owners and staff were friendly, the beds comfortable and the rooms clean, with a great balcony. Housekeepers cleaned and made the beds three times during the week. There are lots of places to eat, drink and shop a short walk away. The beach is pebbly rather than sandy, but we easily took the bus to nearby beaches, and the stop is practically outside.
