V.A. Boutique Apartments and Suites

Acharavi sits on Corfu’s northeast coast, and VA Boutique apartments and Suites is a real highlight there. It has six individually designed apartments, decorated with daughter Vassia’s paintings and other great artwork. The family are welcoming and helpful, and guests return year after year. I’ve stayed here numerous times and would thoroughly recommend it. The seafront and a wide choice of tavernas and upmarket restaurants are a five-minute walk away. Behind the accommodation there’s a pool with sun loungers for guests, plus a pool bar serving authentic cocktails and drinks. Guests can also get breakfast, lunch and home-cooked Greek specialties made by mother Lianna. Flowers and shrubs are everywhere, giving the place lots of colour and a calm atmosphere. We’ve already booked to come back next year. From the start, the lovely family made us feel like one of their own, and their hospitality made the whole stay unforgettable. They helped with everything we needed, from arranging airport transfers to renting a car, and shared great island tips on where to eat, which beaches to visit and what not to miss. A big thanks to Vassia and Alex for the fantastic cocktails and all their advice. The rooms are huge, spotless and beautifully kept, with eclectic furniture and artwork. The outdoor spaces have a magical feel, and the pool is incredibly relaxing. The bar does amazing cocktails and snacks, and the homemade traditional food is delicious. It’s a place that looks and feels like a fairytale brought to life.

We had an amazing stay in these adults-only boutique Suites and have already booked to return next year. The hosts are wonderful, and the peaceful setting is ideal for relaxing. I loved reading and having great cocktails by the pool. The bar serves everything from breakfast to proper meals, and we especially liked the moussaka and sofrito. The rooms are spotless, nicely decorated and fully equipped with what you might need. The beach is less than two minutes away, with plenty of nearby restaurants and taverns. Acharavi’s main road, with its shops, restaurants and supermarkets, is under ten minutes away. Highly recommended.

The secret garden was such a lovely place to sit, and it made it easy to chat with the family and other guests. It felt like being in a friend's garden with people you'd known for years. We usually choose big hotels abroad, even though they can feel impersonal, but other guests' reviews persuaded us to try self-catering at VA Boutique Apartments. From arriving at 3am to leaving, it was a peaceful little oasis. There was a welcome note with room instructions and details on completing registration the next day. The artistic decor was the work of Vassia and Alexandra, daughters of the owners, Lianna and Vassilios. The rooms had everything we needed, and I’m sure they would have found anything else we asked for. The garden was beautifully kept, and the location was handy for town, the beachfront, restaurants, bars and supermarkets. Thank you for looking after us. My sister is still talking about the homemade moussaka Lianna made especially for us. We had a lovely stay, and I’d recommend it to anyone after a relaxing holiday.
