Cavallari Palace Hotel Suites

The front desk was very helpful when we arrived late. The nearby tavernas were already closed, so they helped us order food to the room. We only stayed one night and didn’t use the pool, so I can’t comment on it. We visited midweek and there weren’t any of the crowded weddings mentioned in some reviews. The hotel is outside Athens, with large rooms and beds. Some rooms have hot tubs, though we didn’t use ours. The rooms are somewhat dated and need renovation, the bathrooms are tiny, and our shower doors were broken, but the room size and beds outweighed those issues. I’d recommend it, keeping in mind our short stay.

I chose Cavallari Palace Hotel Suites through Booking.com because its listing clearly said “Adults Only.” Right after booking, though, I saw the same listing advertise a children’s playground and mention children using the facilities. That directly contradicts the adults-only label and is misleading at best. I contacted the hotel about the conflicting, inaccurate information, but they wouldn’t cancel or refund me, even though the issue was with how they presented the property. They didn’t acknowledge the problem or show any willingness to correct the listing. Booking.com also failed to help. They initially sounded as though they’d resolve it, but in the end I was left without support. I have screenshots of the contradictory listing and records of my attempts to sort this out. With neither the hotel nor Booking.com taking responsibility, I had to dispute the payment through PayPal on the grounds of misrepresentation. It’s been an incredibly frustrating waste of time. Based on this experience, I strongly advise people considering the hotel to avoid it. They haven’t taken responsibility for inaccurate information or provided meaningful support when their listing caused the problem.

I was travelling for business and had booked this hotel for one night, planning to rest and leave in the morning. Strikes in the country and blocked borders meant I had to leave that same day to make sure I could get back into my country. My roaming service wasn’t working properly, so I couldn’t contact the hotel to cancel at the time. As soon as I reached my country the next morning, I contacted the hotel, apologized, and explained what had happened. They showed no understanding and refused my refund request. I’m unhappy with the customer service and lack of understanding, and I strongly don’t recommend this hotel.

A handy place to stay when you’ve just arrived in Greece and would rather not be in Athens. My room was clean, and everything worked, from the jacuzzi and bathroom fixtures to the AC, heating, and lights. I didn’t have a single problem. The buffet breakfast was delicious and had everything I needed, with items refilled whenever they ran out.
