Milos Apartment

Maria, the owner, greeted me warmly and made a point of saying hello every day. The room had useful things like a large fridge, sandwich toaster, big shower, TV and air conditioning. It’s around five minutes from the main bus stop and port, but far enough away to avoid constant bustle. I liked the place. One thing I realized is that Plako has lots of lovely white-walled streets up the hill, so stay there if that's what you're looking for.

The price and location are both great. It's a cosy little apartment close to the harbour, and the Greek host was warm and welcoming.

We ran into a booking problem, and the representative on the phone kept talking over me instead of letting me explain. She said the supervisor wouldn't agree with our case. When I asked to speak with him, she said he was busy and couldn't talk. There are plenty of other places on the island. Dealing with people who won't have a conversation is unpleasant, so I'd avoid accommodations handled this way.

It's a very quiet apartment in Adamas, on the ground floor of a house. The walls are thick, so it doesn't get too hot in summer.
