The location was decent, there was parking, and the AC was probably the strongest I’ve ever come across. The staff also seemed lovely, and if you get the best room there’s a good view. Those were the few positives for me. I’ve stayed in plenty of places across the Greek islands, and this was one of the worst. The rooms were smaller than the listing suggested and didn’t have as many amenities, including the advertised stovetop. During my four nights, housekeeping came just once. I ended up cleaning and taking out the trash myself, and they didn’t replace the toilet paper. We ran out overnight and had to wait until morning. The price was far too high for the room, and I don’t think the island itself justified what I paid either. It’s painful to leave a bad review when the staff were so nice, but two stars feels generous. I’d only book if you can confirm you’re getting the largest room, since the listing isn’t always accurate, or if you have no other choice. I also found many of the good reviews hard to trust because they seemed biased.

We couldn’t work out what to do when our transfer dropped us off, and a Greek woman gestured for us to sit and wait. While we were waiting, one of the many stray cats around the property, fed by the woman downstairs, urinated on my partner’s bag. It was a rough start. We like cats, but there were perhaps 20-30 of them around, many looking scruffy and unwell, and the place didn’t seem very clean. The owner eventually came and showed us the room. It was okay, though the bathroom was small and I thought the price was high. The AC worked well, but the Booking.com listing says there’s a stovetop, and there isn’t. We got just two small shower gels, with no refill during our four-night stay. Sound carried easily through the rooms, and one night a loud argument, possibly among neighbours, hosts, or other guests, went on for about an hour around midnight and kept us awake. There is parking, though Adamas has plenty of free parking anyway. We also weren’t given clear instructions about where to park, and one day the Greek woman downstairs gestured and tried to tell us to move the car, which was disconcerting. The arranged transfer itself worked well. I’d look elsewhere.

The host was good, the AC was great, and there was nice hot water.

The view from bed over Adamas and the sea was spectacular. I could watch the boats in the harbor and the sunset colors. The terrace was roomy, with a little drying rack, table, and chairs, though a lounger would have been nice. Inside, the furnishings were modern, the bed very comfortable, and the AC worked well. Staff were friendly and the room was serviced every three days. The shower was tiny, there was no kitchenette, and they didn’t refill the soap.
