Lily's Cottage

When our luggage was delayed, Lily agreed to receive it and let us come by to collect it. That saved our holiday all over again. She also had a meal ready for us on arrival and gave us two delicious homemade cakes. She was always there when we needed anything and treated us like family. We spent two weeks at Lily’s cottage, set among flowers and trees with views of the blue ocean and Greek sunsets. Inside, there are two spacious bedrooms, a large bathroom, and a cozy living room that feels like home. Lily is one of the kindest, most genuine and caring people I’ve met. We’re grateful we got to know her and can’t wait to come back.

Lily was flexible and understanding when I cancelled because of UK restrictions and later booked again. When we finally arrived, she welcomed us with a delicious lunch and a fridge stocked with fruit and drinks. She kept in touch on Whatsapp during our stay and shared great recommendations. My girlfriend and I had a lovely time and are eager to visit again. The cottage is beautiful, with a great pool area. Rethymno town is about a 12 minute drive away, and the place sits roughly between Chania and Heraklion, with the island’s main attractions not too far away. I’ve travelled all over the world, and Lily’s hospitality was the best I’ve experienced. Thanks so much for everything, Lily. See you again one day! Matt

We only had five days at Lily’s cottage, but we’d happily come back. It was very clean, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the garden was spacious and well cared for. Lily replied to our questions right away, both before the trip and while we were there. When we arrived in the evening, she was waiting with freshly baked pie, just what we needed after a long journey.

The cottage had a lovely view over all of Rethymno, and Lily greeted us with homemade moussaka when we arrived. Her warmth and care made our time in Crete feel special. It was one of the best holidays I’ve had, and I’d love to return for another relaxing stay.
