The apartment itself is nice, with comfortable beds and a good kitchen, though it has no kettle. The bathroom really needs a major upgrade. I forgot to take a picture, but everything there felt very old, and the room was tiny. There's a nice little pool area. Other guests were loud at night, though that's obviously not the owners' fault. It was a bit confusing to find the place in the dark. The entrance is at the back, and the doors slide, which wasn't obvious when we were tired from traveling. Clearer instructions would help. It's also down a back street, which I wasn't keen on at first. It was very dark at night, but the area seemed very safe. I'd recommend it, and hope the directions improve and the bathrooms get updated soon.

The hosts made us feel right at home, and the apartment was spotless, spacious and well kept. Having a kitchenette was handy, and breakfast on the balcony became a daily highlight. Marianthi Apartments is peaceful and welcoming, with a good location: close enough to the center of Rethymno for easy access, but far enough away to stay quiet. We can't recommend it enough. It's the kind of place you'd want to return to year after year. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!

We came back for a second visit, three years after our first, and would happily stay again. The location is great, close to the beach and restaurants, and the staff are friendly and the price was good. The rooms are tidy and clean, with excellent housekeeping every day. They even do the dishes and fold the towels into cute animals. The kitchen is small, but has enough to make sandwiches and simple meals. We also made good use of the fridge and small freezer.

The apartments are very small, but still felt really nice. The pool is a good size, bars and restaurants are close, and they cleaned daily. Brilliant stay, exceptional.

We travelled with our 15-month-old, and the place couldn't have suited us better. The facilities are excellent, the staff are incredible, and we'd gladly stay here again. It's close to lots of restaurants and shops, yet far enough away to stay quiet.
