Nefeli Hotel

The breakfast was identical each day, and by day three even the bread looked bored. The hotel seemed set up for German guests, from the TV to the staff and small talk. Once they realized we weren't German, their friendliness disappeared faster than the internet signal. Wi-Fi was so bad I started writing letters, and the shower wall was cracked with mold growing its own ecosystem. The air conditioner seemed to have only two settings, Sahara heatwave or Alaskan winter. The pillows were so soft they gave up immediately, more like decorative suggestions of comfort. We also had to share a balcony with three other rooms, because who needs privacy in pajamas? Getting to our room felt like a little mountain hike, a steep leg workout that burned 200 kcal before we even found the bed. At check-in they took our passports, and I wondered whether I'd ever get mine back or if I was now an official hotel resident. Dinner was set for 20:30. When we asked if we could eat earlier because we'd been up since 2:30 a.m., the woman smiled and said, “You are young, you can eat later.” Apparently youth means surviving on air and confusion. For that price, you could stay somewhere with working Wi-Fi, real toilet paper, and pillows that don't need emotional support.

The restaurant was quite loud because it was so packed. The food was delicious, though it didn't have much Greek culture. Rooms were very clean and a bit small, but definitely big enough. It's good value for the price and definitely recommendable.

We visited for the weekend with my wife. Lovely hotel, and it was delightful having a fire 🔥 in the room while it snowed outside ❄️. We hired a snowmobile too 😀

We had a great vacation at Hotel Nefeli, with clean rooms, plenty of parking, and really friendly staff. The breakfast and dinner buffets were delicious and offered lots of variety. The beach is around a 10-minute walk away, or just 2 minutes by car. Thanks to the whole Nefeli team!
