The pool is a real plus, with enough depth to dive in, and the bar prices are great. The rooms, shower, and AC were all perfectly fine. It's simple, lovely accommodation at a great price.

The owner was a highlight for us, a friendly "Cologne Greek" who gladly shared plenty of good tips and lovingly looks after over 30 cats. The whole place has a lovely family feel, and we felt welcome right away. We really enjoyed staying at Helga's Paradise. The gardens are kept beautifully, and the rooms are basic but very clean, with daily cleaning. Breakfast is generous and has something for everyone. You can use Wi-Fi at reception, but not in the rooms, where there are deliberately no TVs. That made it easy to switch off and enjoy time with the children. For trips around the area, a rental car is recommended. The location works well, though, with the village only a 10-minute walk away. You can also have dinner on site if you reserve ahead. The food is authentic, and the drinks are high quality, nothing like standard hotel fare. A wonderful, simple place run with a lot of heart. We'll definitely come back with our boys.
