The best meals for me were the things cooked fresh on the restaurant grill. Souvlaki, liver and pork chops with fries and tzatziki were actually good, though eating them most of the time got a little repetitive by the end. Other meat dishes tasted like curry to me. Drinks were a good point: the beer was good and, as I understood it, local. Wine was good too, with still and mineral water and plenty of juices. No complaints there, more than enough choice. The rooms were spacious and nice, with modern bathrooms. The bed was a bit narrow but manageable. Room service cleaned consistently between 10 and 11 AM, so a shout-out to them. The staff in general were super friendly, kind, funny and helpful. Both pools were very clean, open from 10 AM to 6 PM, and 1.30 metres deep. The beach is very close and amazing. I recommend Vammos beach bar. There’s a bus stop by the beach, three minutes from the hotel. For a supermarket, though, you have to walk 1.5 km north to Afandou village.

We had a good stay, and you can rent a car at the hotel, which is handy. The two pools had lovely, clean, warm water, and the bar and restaurant staff were very nice and helpful. There are some things that need attention. The food wasn’t the best, the shower wasn’t cleaned at all during our stay, and the shampoo and shower gel weren’t replenished over our seven days, so we had to buy our own. That’s not great for a four-star hotel. Still, it’s a good place to stay.

The rooms were clean and stylish, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the food was delicious. What made my visit especially good was the staff’s kindness and professionalism. Everyone at the bar and restaurant was welcoming, smiling, helpful and attentive, with great service throughout. Thanks to the whole team for making my stay so enjoyable. I highly recommend the hotel and will definitely come back.

The biggest plus at Afandou Bay Village was the staff. Everyone was helpful and smiling. The receptionist looked after everything we needed, and Angelos was especially nice and focused on guests. Our room was very nice, well kept and had a terrace. I also liked the quiet adults-only pool, with no music. It only opened from 10 AM to 6 PM, though, which felt far too short for summer in Greece. There weren’t huge crowds on the beach, which is a real advantage here. Only two resorts are near it, so it’s mostly hotel guests and locals. The buffet was quite good for a hotel, though not gourmet. It was kept stocked, but if you came very late for lunch or dinner some salads weren’t replenished. There was plenty of fruit.

June 2025. I’d like to give this hotel five stars for the staff alone. They’re absolutely amazing. The bars were nice too, though 200 ml beer in a plastic cup wasn’t for me. The snack bar barely changed from day to day, just sandwiches and breakfast leftovers, and could be better. The rooms were nice, but sleeping on springs for a week was miserable. The beds really need replacing. Our door stayed broken the whole time and could only be locked with the key, so we had to turn down room service for the entire week. The all-inclusive setup serves a lot of people, and I understand that’s difficult, but the food was well below what I expected from a four-star hotel. It was repetitive, the meat was dry and under-seasoned, and the sides were always the same. After checking the buffet each night, we ate at restaurants in the area on five of our seven nights. The pool was fantastic, but closing at 18:00 was a letdown. With 34°C outside, I expected to be able to cool off until at least 21:00. I can only imagine how that felt for the kids. Zavvac, who runs the little shop, and the rest of the staff are the reason I’d like to visit again. I’m not sure I would unless the hotel improved these things. It wasn’t all bad, and the stay was enjoyable if you don’t mind these problems.
