Al Mare Apartments

There was no transport or proper access to the hotel, so walking seemed to be the only way to get there. The owner was unfriendly and kept walking away instead of speaking with me. I tried to check in while the room was listed as available on Booking.com, but he said there was no room and immediately closed the listing. He also claimed I had the wrong address, even though it matched perfectly. When I asked for help calling a taxi or finding my way back to the city, he said he didn't know and couldn't help. I'm very disappointed with the attitude and the whole experience, and I don't recommend this place.

I should've checked things better, but I'd tell anyone staying here to rent a car. The bus stop is a 30-minute walk away. It's a beautiful place with kind, amazing staff. They look after the rooms about every other day, and the view is gorgeous :)

What keeps bringing us back every year for a week or two is the quiet, remote setting. It's peaceful enough that all you hear is the wind and waves, with a gorgeous sea view. The owners are really nice too. The apartments are older, but spotlessly clean and well maintained. We seriously love this place :)

Just under 20 metres from the beach, with private parking, these self-catering apartments have air conditioning, a fridge, a private bathroom, and a great view. The hosts are kind and welcoming, and the prices are completely fair. We had a calm, homely stay in the most peaceful part of Rhodes, well away from mass tourism.
