Eden Hotel Afitos

The rooms are basic, but the patio is pleasant and the centre is close. I’d give the hotel two stars, though I do think the young people running it deserve some credit. When I arrived, there was nobody at reception or nearby to check me in. The pool was dirty and the ashtrays on the tables hadn’t been emptied for a day or more. I found a friendly cleaner who only spoke Greek, and she gave me the key. Once the young manager arrived, he did everything he could to make my stay enjoyable. I think they’ve only recently taken over and have a lot to sort out. With more staff, investment, hard work and determination, the place could become an Eden.

They pushed us to cancel the apartment we’d booked with breakfast, probably because they were overbooked, and offered another place we didn’t like. I said I’d cancel and take a more expensive apartment, then asked them to include breakfast at least so we wouldn’t also have to pay for it elsewhere. They refused. There were apparently rooms available at their hotel, but at a higher price, and they wouldn’t give us one. That attitude didn’t sit right with me. Not fair.

Great value for a friendly price, and the location is perfect. The hotel is clean, the pool area is relaxing, and the staff are nice and welcoming.

We only spent two days at Eden Apartments and wished we had more time. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Really nice.
