White Suites

I was fitted in at the last minute and felt so well looked after. The staff were fantastic, especially Victoria, who was the sweetest server and made my stay lovely. The place is spotless and they really notice the details. The sea views are everywhere, and the location by the beach is hard to beat. The beds by the water are comfortable, and restaurants in the little town are just a five-minute walk away. I'll be back. Thanks for such a lovely stay.

We'd already booked again for 2026 before this holiday was over. White Suites is a small, beautiful hotel with just 16 rooms, and we couldn't find anything to fault. Our room had a plunge pool, a great bonus at about 12 feet square and 4.5 feet deep. It was clean and well kept, as was the whole hotel. Natasha and ileena did a very thorough job changing the towels and bed linen and cleaning. They're both incredibly hard workers. The seafront setting is stunning, with private access and free sunbeds and umbrellas. Afytos is a short, steep walk of about ten minutes away, with traditional Greek character, tavernas, shops and public spaces. Even locals come here for holidays and weekends, which says a lot. Poppy and her Husband Mika manage the hotel well and clearly trust their staff, who treated us with real warmth and kindness. Sofia was happy to sort out any issues and gave us useful advice. At the restaurant and beach bar, Kostas and Yulie made sure we had everything we needed. The food and drinks selection was excellent, and the beach service from Melania and Apostle and young Ileena was great. They brought food and drinks to our free sunbeds at no extra charge. We were half board and were delighted to learn we could switch dinner for lunch whenever we wanted, so we could have our evening meal in Afytos. Guests at White Suites also get a genuine 15% discount at Filomena, the fine taverna at the end of the Afytos promenade. Sofia at reception can give you a voucher, and you can tell her in advance which days you'd like to switch dinner for lunch. The hotel is small, but the food and drinks standards and choice are excellent. We had fresh cooked fish and excellent meat, and the chefs were happy to adjust dishes to our preferences. We especially appreciated how well they looked after us.

You really have everything you need on site: a beach, pool, beach bar and restaurant. Breakfast is included and was lovely, and the staff were consistently friendly and welcoming. The beach sunbeds and umbrellas are included in the price as well. The beautiful spot is only a 5-10 minute walk from Afytos's main street.

The hotel is made for peace and relaxation, and it's adults only. It's a small boutique place with stylish traditional rooms. Ours had a large fridge, excellent A/C, a safe, lots of storage, a coffee machine, towels and free beach towels, plus balcony furniture. The room was a good size and nicely done, with a full sea view and a lovely bathroom with a powerful hot shower. All rooms have a full sea view, and four have their own pool. Sofia greeted us, showed us the room and facilities, and finished the tour at the beach bar with a welcome drink and a view like no other. She knows her guests, speaks several languages very well, and is easy to ask for anything, from taxis and boat trips to advice or extra towels. She gets things sorted. Breakfast, hosted by the superb Juli, was a lovely start to the day, with an Aegean view. There was Greek breakfast, bread, lots of fresh fruit, mastica and fizz, coffee, tea, scrambled eggs and beautiful pastries. The lounge was cool and peaceful, with a good choice of books. The beach sunbeds are free and reserved for guests at the start of the day. There are umbrellas, bean bags and tables, and Nikos and his team provide excellent bar service. The staff make an effort to get to know you, and the young woman at the bar was efficient and always smiling. There's a rocky outcrop in the sea, but once past it the water is crystal warm, as one guest put it, better than the Maldives. One spot has a sandy path out to a sandbank where it's easy to stand, though seashore are advisable. The beach was clean with lovely soft sand, and the fish we saw while snorkelling were amazing. We were half board, but could swap dinner for lunch or vice versa. The meal came as three small plates, including salad, zucchini, vine leaves and bread, then a choice of two larger dishes, usually fish and meat. Everything tasted great. If neither main suited you, you could pick from the a la carte menu and have the half-board cost deducted. I'd never come across that before. The kitchen team were happy to make adjustments, and Costa and Adonis were, without doubt, the most professional waiting staff on earth, attentive without fuss and brilliant. About the grass cutting complaint: we stayed 14 days and saw the grass get cut once. It took five minutes and happened at 5pm. At other hotels we've been to, they try to wake you at dawn for this, but here it was a minimal disruption, once every 10 days. We didn't want to leave and tried to extend our stay. It was tranquil and relaxing, with kindness all around, and the short daily hill climb into town kept us fit. Thank you, White Suites Resort, for the best holiday ever.
