Baggelis at reception was always smiling and ready to help with any question or problem, and Dimitri really is the best barman in Greece. Anna and the whole team helped make our recent ten-day visit to Naxos memorable again. Thanks to you all. We’ve visited Naxos many times and tried several hotels in the early years. Since finding Aegean Palace, we’ve stayed nowhere else and have never been disappointed. It’s right on the beach. Turn right as you leave and there are plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. Head left for a few hundred yards and you reach the beginning of some of the Aegean’s best unspoiled beaches. Thanks again. Tom and Elaine, Dublin, Ireland.

We were there for a few days last week. The beach staff were professional, though a couple has to spend at least €50 to get sunbeds. The hotel looks nice, but I felt very exposed to theft. There’s no security or cameras, and strangers can get onto the property easily. Several rooms had been broken into, including ours. Some rooms also need renovation. I don’t think this is worth four stars.

What I’ll remember most is how Anna looked after us when our daughter got sick. She went to her own home to get medicine, helped us find the right one, called pharmacies, and kept checking that our little girl was all right. The reception team also did a wonderful job making us feel welcome. Everyone was kind and helpful, always smiling, and it felt a bit like staying with family. Aegean Palace is clean, beautiful, and comfortable, but it’s the people who make it special. We felt cared for and appreciated the whole time. That kind of warmth is rare. I can’t imagine coming to Naxos and staying anywhere else. This is a place full of love and genuinely special people.

The service staff were hardworking and kind, truly five-star. But that didn’t make up for the way our family’s safety was handled. Three families with children came to Aegean Palace last week. A few nights into the trip, we went to dinner in town. When we got back, our neighbors’ unit and our friends’ unit directly above us had been broken into and ransacked. The thieves smashed glass to get inside. Our friends’ children had to walk through shards to reach their room and found their things scattered everywhere. The safe was taken whole, with passports, a laptop, jewelry, cash, and more inside. The children were terrified and traumatized. Their sense of safety was taken too. There are no cameras, guards, gates, or fences. There are several open ways in from the street, parking lot, and beach, so anyone can walk onto the property without being checked. For a family holiday, safety matters more to me than the view, amenities, or beach access. At this price, we assumed basic security would be there. We were wrong. Management first promised us a refund verbally, then went back on that promise and offered a free lunch instead. They blamed an obscure regulation for the lack of security, which we found out wasn’t true, and accepted no responsibility. It felt completely dismissive. This place could be a slice of heaven, but our experience was heartbreaking. Security was nonexistent, leadership brushed us off, and our families were left vulnerable. Aegean Palace turned what should have been a dreamy family vacation into a nightmare that left our children with lasting emotional scars.
