You’ll definitely need a car to get up the very steep hill. The studios are spacious and old-style, with balconies and great views, and the property has a swimming pool, though its layout is quite different from the photos. Dogs are welcome. Before I arrived, Niko was very helpful on WhatsApp and sent me various information. It was disappointing that he disappeared on the morning I checked out, as I wanted to thank him. His mother is lovely, but she doesn’t speak any English, which made checking in tricky because she didn’t know anything about my booking.

Fotini was the sweetest host and so accommodating when our hotel cancelled at the last minute. We were in town for a wedding, and she kindly offered to iron our clothes. The views are fabulous, and we loved our stay.

We’ll be coming back. It’s beautifully quiet, set well up the hill from the main village, but the centre is only a two-minute drive away. You’ll want a car, though, because that incline could wind a goat. The views, pool, and rooms were all lovely, and there was a sprinkling of very friendly cats too. Fotini met us and showed us to one-bed apartment 3b, which I’d recommend. We stayed for two weeks at the end of September 2019. There was a chilled bottle of water waiting in the fridge, and halfway through our stay we were given a lovely melon. A good spot if you want to be left alone and chill.

The apartments were spacious and well kept, some of the best we’ve stayed in. The views are spectacular, and the family running the place provided wonderful service. Can’t recommend it enough.
