The villa’s pool gave the kids somewhere to play all day, and there’s a jacuzzi inside with a sea view, perfect for an overcast day. A local shop is right next door for breakfast supplies, and the beach is a five-minute walk over the bridge across the main street, which felt safe. The town is lovely, with plenty of places to eat and without the crowds of shops and banks you find in eastern Crete. The villa can fit one, two or even three families. The person looking after it was friendly and easy to reach, and the house was cleaned twice a week. There’s a TV in every bedroom if you need one.

We had a really enjoyable week at the villa and hope to return someday. The sea view was amazing, and it was well equipped with air con, Chromecasts on all the TVs, a pool and jacuzzi. There’s a small shop next door and a larger one five minutes away. The beach is also five minutes away, with good local restaurants close by. Markos, the host, was very accommodating and helped us with local information.

The terrace view and the short walk to the beach, shops and restaurants really make this place. The host is great to communicate with. It’s a nice stay, though two families may find the small upstairs room a drawback. I recommend it :)
