Chrispy Beach Resort

We stayed from 27.04.2025 to 04.05.2025 on the All Inclusive plan, and came away very disappointed. There was regular construction across from our room, with machines and equipment making noise from the morning and keeping us from resting properly. The food was repetitive and not very tasty, with little choice. Meals that should have been hot, like soup and meat, arrived cold. The tomatoes, cucumbers and pies were on frozen trays, and some vegetables still had ice on them. Popular items ran out and weren't replaced. Salt and butter were often missing. The promised "Eiland and Dine" drinks and snacks were practically unavailable. Service from 10 am to 5 pm barely existed, and in the evening we could only get three drinks from the bartender between 17.00 and 23.00. That service only started on our third day. We also couldn't use the “one meal a la carte” option. Reception said the hotel wasn't ready to offer it, so we had to pay for extra meals and spend more during our stay. We couldn't access the spa, gym, evening show or yoga at all during the trip. The Coral agency knew construction was happening close to MARVIDA HOTEL CHRISPY BEACH and, in our view, knew the hotel wasn't ready for guests between 27.04.2025 and 04.05.2025. We feel Coral sold us dining, accommodation and extra services that the hotel didn't provide. This is the first time we've had to complain about a tour purchase. For us, the vacation through the Coral agency was a huge misunderstanding and a waste of money, time and precious vacation days. We don't recommend staying here.

The location is really nice, and the reception staff and waiters were pleasant and helpful. Still, for a 4-star all-inclusive place, I expected more. Our sheets seemed to be made up rather than replaced. I marked one with a pencil after noticing it didn't look fresh, and the mark stayed there the next two days. We asked for clean sheets; they changed them two days later, but by the time we left, we had the same ones again. Food was just okay, with limited options and much the same each day. Outside the restaurant, they only had filter coffee. 🙄😳 One bar waitress, Elini or Elaini, was especially rude. She'd leave us waiting on purpose and make sarcastic comments. When we once mentioned the Albanian music she was playing, she told us, "Just imagine it’s Greek music." The friendly service at reception and from the other staff was appreciated, but that's about where the good points ended. They have a great location and should improve the service.

When our flight was cancelled, the staff quickly arranged another night for us in the same room we'd had for 14 days, and made it easy to check back in. They were also quick to sort out room issues or help when we needed something. The rooms were clean and cleaned often enough; when one of us caught a stomach virus, they gave our room extra cleaning. We spent 15 days at Chrispy Beach Resort and really enjoyed it. The staff were professional, welcoming and helpful, and gave us ideas for things to see and do on the island. We also enjoyed visiting other parts of Greece. The pool was good for a swim, and the beach was lovely, with good sunbeds and food and drinks available at both spots. The food was generally good at the buffet and restaurant. I can't eat gluten, though, and sometimes it was hard to tell from the restaurant menu what I could have. Since you've recently renovated and plan more work, I hope the menu can show the allergens in each dish and say which meals can be made allergy friendly. That would help both guests and staff. When we asked, they always figured out what I could eat by checking with the kitchen. We had a really good stay and hope to come back one day.

The beach towel charges were a surprise: it was 5 euro per towel per week, plus a 5 euro deposit. Evenings were noisy because two night clubs are next to the hotel. We'd booked two rooms, but one was very small and had a broken air conditioner. The rooms also didn't look like the photos on the website. Staff insisted we pay upfront before showing us the rooms, and hadn't told us about that requirement in advance, even though they'd already taken a 40% deposit from our family for 16 nights.
