Karyatides

It's in a good spot right in the middle of the tourist village. Parking is free, though it's pretty dusty, which I can imagine gets worse in Greece's hot summer weather. More running water and better toilet drainage would have made the stay perfect.

The town is very close, less than a two-minute walk, with lots of food and shops to choose from. I stayed for one night and found the hotel clean, with friendly, helpful reception staff. The room was basic, with a balcony looking toward other buildings and the car park. There was a fridge, but nowhere to make tea or coffee. The restaurant and bar were there, but closed during my stay.

Very clean, fairly priced, and in a great spot on the island's best beach side. Getting there is easy by bus from next to the ferry port, or you can rent a car, quad, or bike. There are mini markets, cafes, and bars nearby, with lively parties at night. You can't hear them from the rooms, so it's still a calm place to sleep.

I gave it two stars only because the reception service was excellent. The bathroom smelled of mold and was in awful condition; there was hair under the sheets and sand all over the floor. To make it worse, the cleaning lady came in without knocking and yelled outside our door for no apparent reason. I'd avoid this place.
