Kristall Suites

The sea-facing balcony was a lovely place to hear the waves, and the apartment itself was spacious, spotless, and well equipped. Kristall Suites is right on the beach, with sunbeds set aside for guests, plus good tavernas and shops close by. Christina welcomed us warmly before check-in time. Since no one was booked after us, she also offered a later checkout. We offered to pay for it, but she declined. That thoughtful gesture stood out. We had a wonderful stay at this family-run place, with a great location and genuine hospitality. Highly recommended!

We were very happy with our stay. The hosts were friendly, always on the property, and quick to respond to questions or requests. There are security cameras on-site, and the room has a safe. Shops and cafes are nearby. The room was cleaned every day, with fresh towels daily and bed linen changed every two days. The beach has free sunbeds and umbrellas for guests, and it’s good for families with children. Google Maps makes bus access look limited, but Galina stop is only 50 meters away. Buses to the city center take about 30 minutes and run every 20 minutes. From the airport to the city center, buses come every 45 minutes.

We had our wedding in Chania with close friends and family staying here, and everyone at Kristall made us feel welcome. They went out of their way to meet our needs, even decorating the terrace and garden for the photographer’s “getting ready” session. We loved the view from our room, the shady terrace, and the beach access. The place was comfortable and worked especially well for the families who brought children.

The manager, along with other staff members, was aggressive and rude. They kept chasing customers away from the beach tents even when those were empty. The hotel is terrible. They should put more effort into customer relations and improving their English. Avoid it.
