The mountain setting comes with a stunning sea view, and it’s wonderfully quiet, though you’ll need a car. The house was generally easy to recommend, with four bathrooms, three of them with showers, and three bedrooms with double beds. Those bedroom mattresses were worn out, but the fold-down bed under the stairs was great. There wasn’t much else to complain about indoors, apart from the dishwasher not cleaning well. Outside, the grill only worked partly and the pizza oven couldn’t be used. A thunderstorm knocked out power in half the house on our first night, but it was fixed quickly the next morning.

The views over the mountains, sea, and Heraklion are breathtaking. It’s a beautiful, spacious villa with three bedrooms, a large sun terrace, a pool, and an outdoor kitchen with a grill and pizza oven. Inside, the rooms are perfectly fine and furnished in a practical way. The bathrooms have showers and toilets, and the kitchen has everything you need, including a stove, oven, microwave, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine, and dishwasher. The pool water was still quite cold, though it had only recently been filled. We also kept finding a lot of ants in the kitchen, which wasn’t pleasant.

So peaceful, with a gorgeous view. It’s a lovely holiday home, though some of the beds weren’t comfortable. Still, I’d highly recommend it!
