For what it costs, I expected a lot more from the residence. During our eight days, our towels were never changed, and the air conditioning was in the living room, where it did little for the rest of the house. The bedroom had an ancient fan that barely worked. The setting, though, is lovely: a quiet beach shaded by tamarisk trees, with a beautiful sea and a welcoming bay.

I had no privacy here and ended up leaving the rental for a hotel, losing two days because of the hostess. She watched me and questioned how often I used the air conditioning. When my mother came over from the neighboring island for a day, the hostess rushed to the gate at 7am and nearly assaulted her, demanding to know what she was doing there, even though I had told her the day before. She wouldn't let me explain. I feel she may have been bothered that I was traveling alone and that her husband came to check the air conditioning. I had to be rude to deal with it. There was no respect or welcome, and her French was so poor she didn't understand anything. A heavenly setting turned into hell. Catastrophic. I wish I could give it no stars. I don't recommend this place.

The owners were very welcoming and helpful, and the rooms are spacious. They're right on a spotless beach. Agia Pelagia is in the northeast of the island, around 25 to 30 minutes from town and the southern beaches, but there are also fantastic places nearby, including Potamos, Karavas, and Fournoi beach. Highly recommended!
