The beach is just around the corner, with beautiful Mediterranean blue water. There are great options for scuba diving, snorkeling and other water sports. Sun loungers cost €2 and umbrellas €3 per day, or you can just settle on the sand for free. Along the beach boardwalk you'll find lots of good restaurants and bars serving local food. Joanna was so kind and accommodating. The hotel was clean and had the basic equipment we needed to cook. There's also a nice shared garden with tables and chairs where you can eat outside. It was 32 degrees when we arrived, so having A/C was very welcome. If you're after a small, quiet place that's good for families, Agia Pelagia is a great choice. Mss Joanna and her son Manolis were wonderful hosts, and the nice Agia Pelagia beach is less than 100 meters away. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, with lovely meals at fair prices, and the back yard is a pleasant spot with chairs and sunbeds. It's budget accommodation, but worth every cent. Room No 4 was for two people, so there was no extra bed downstairs. We weren't keen on having the bed on the higher level, reached by wooden stairs, though it wasn't a big problem. The room was clean and had a fridge, kettle, basic kitchenette and cooking utensils. It was cleaned daily, with fresh sheets and towels every three days. There were loads of mosquitoes in both the room and back yard. Bring whatever you can to protect yourself. We had two repellents, one for the lower level and one for the upper part of the apartment.

A great location, very clean, and a really friendly, helpful host. We'd definitely come back.

Those pomegranate trees in the garden are so sweet. We booked for two and a half weeks across September and October, but left a week early because the host was quite rude and made us feel really uncomfortable. The WiFi was terrible, and the rooms were very basic with tiny beds. I'm only 5 foot 3, but even my feet hung over the end.
