Panorama Village Hotel

We were left feeling ignored after the hotel never replied to our email about the evening. There was no apology or compensation. I can't recommend Marea Restaurant. We had poor food, questionable communication, an unexpected charge, and no customer care, and what should have been a pleasant part of our holiday became an expensive, frustrating mistake. During check-in at Panorama Village Hotel, we were told we were entitled to one complimentary dinner at Marea Restaurant. On our last evening, we booked through the hotel's app using the QR code from reception. The welcome was warm, we had our hotel wristbands on, and the reservation was in the official system, so we had no reason to expect trouble. I was there with my mother and child. We'd already eaten at the main Panorama Village Hotel restaurant earlier that evening, so we weren't very hungry and just wanted a light meal as part of the complimentary dinner. Every dish disappointed us. The food was poor quality and bland, and afterwards all three of us felt unwell with stomach discomfort. We'd eaten several times at the main restaurant during our stay without any problems. Its food was excellent and deserved a 5-star rating. Marea was the complete opposite. Then came the shock at the end: a €99 bill. When we questioned the charge for a dinner described as complimentary, staff said we should have told them on arrival that we were guests of Panorama Village Hotel. That explanation was ridiculous. We booked through the hotel's own app and wore the wristbands all evening. If the restaurant can't identify guests who book through its system, that shouldn't be the customer's problem. Paying €99 for such poor food and an unpleasant evening was probably the worst money we spent on the whole holiday.

We had a wonderful stay ❤️ The views were stunning, and the food was unexpectedly delicious, fresh and varied every day. Some of the best desserts we've had at an all inclusive stay! 🧁 The pool, poolside bathrooms, and restaurant were all very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was quiet in May, just right for relaxing. We stayed in room 743, and the sea view was worth the little extra. There's a beautiful beach nearby, and the hotel bus takes you there. A couple of things could be better: the mattress was hard and uncomfortable, and the bathroom wasn't very clean when we arrived. We'd definitely come back ❤️

We enjoyed our stay and would happily return. The hotel is in a lovely spot, with clean, spacious, modern rooms and amazing views of the surrounding scenery. The food and drinks were pretty reasonable for an all inclusive stay. It does feel a bit in the middle of nowhere, with not much to do unless you're willing to walk, and it's very hilly. You can take a bus to Heraklion for 10 euros each, where there's more going on, or get a taxi for around 40-45 euros.

We spent 7 nights here with all inclusive and were very happy with our stay. The food was delicious and healthy, we didn't gain weight on vacation. From our bedroom we could watch the sunrise, and the view was beautiful. The Wi-Fi gave us a little trouble for just one night. There are also ping pong, a gym, and tennis.
