Hotel Pension Tzitzifies

No crowds, just a quiet, simple place for a restful holiday at a really good price. The nearby beach was empty and nice for swimming and sunbathing. Our room even had a kitchen. Staff were very friendly, and there’s a small supermarket and some cafes about a seven-minute walk away. It’s a lovely quiet hotel right beside the beach, nothing fancy.

The staff were the best part, just wonderful. I was there for only three days, but I’ll come back. It’s quiet, a little away from the busy spots, and still only about 15 minutes from the center of Thessaloniki. My room was one of the smaller ones, but I was on my own, and the kitchenette let me sort out meals however I wanted. The beach is less than 10 metres from the hotel entrance. There’s also a small commercial center by the beach, an easy ten-minute stroll, with restaurants and general goods.

Maria, the manager, made us feel like family. She’s the most attentive and lovely manager I’ve met, and really the life and soul of this little hotel. The place is right by the sea, with a lovely seafront lounge and bar area and modern rooms that are grand, spotless, and well appointed. Its location also works well as a base for excursions. You can get a really cheap rental car and look forward to coming back to this wonderful place. A holiday dream.

Soma Beach Bar is right downstairs, a great place to relax by the sea, have good drinks, and enjoy the atmosphere. The bartenders and waiters are really cool, friendly, fun, and always in a good mood. It adds a lot to the Ammos experience. Ammos has stayed in our hearts long after leaving, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. We first stayed at Ammos Hotel in 2019 and fell in love with it, especially Maria, the heart and soul of the hotel. In the years after, we stayed elsewhere in the area but always made a point of visiting her. This year we finally found availability at Ammos again, and returning felt like coming home. The peaceful feel, the sea just steps away, and the spotless, cozy rooms were all still there, if anything even better. Maria welcomed us with the warmth and kindness we remembered. She really cares about her guests and goes above and beyond to help everyone feel welcome and relaxed. Thank you, Maria, for your beautiful spirit and for making a place that feels like home! 💙
