Kostas and his family took good care of me during the week. The pool is lovely, with a stunning view of Isle Dia and a small church on the coast. I was there on my own, but the bungalow would work for three friends traveling separately or for a family. The main challenge could be the steps for anyone who has trouble with stairs. My apartment was spacious and comfortable. The furnishings are simple, but the bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen had everything I needed for quick snacks. The fridge kept my Mythos cold. I didn’t try the pool menu while I was out exploring, but saw other people enjoying it, and I had a cocktail when I got back. The location suited me, though it’s a 500-metre walk to one side of Sissi. You can walk to Malia during the day along a coastal track. One tip about breakfast: if you book with Tui or Olympic, Kostas offers a simple Greek breakfast of yogurt, toast, coffee, tea, and juice for 6 Euros a day. Tui charged me £40 for seven days, so arranging it directly with Kostas would have been better. Thanks, Kostas and family.

The resort staff were welcoming and down to earth, and I’d definitely recommend staying here. It sits between Malia and Sissi village, which is about a 15-minute walk east. It isn’t completely quiet, and the village has everything you might need, including supermarkets, bars, rentals, and island excursions.

Kostas and the team were so hospitable and looked after their guests extremely well. The resort was spotless and set in a peaceful, beautiful spot, and our apartment was comfortable with everything we needed. I felt like I was in paradise, though two weeks went by much too quickly. We’ll definitely return, and I highly recommend these apartments. Thank you, Kostas!

The ocean and mountain views were great, and the room was clean and had everything I needed. Kostas, my host, and the rest of the staff were warm and friendly. I had a wonderful stay at Sunrise apartments and would definitely consider coming back. It’s a hidden gem.
