ARGO Hotel

The rooms had everything we needed for our stay. The hotel is in Agio Apostoli, less than a two-minute walk from the beach, and it felt clean from the moment we stepped inside. If you want somewhere quiet and lovely to relax, this is an easy choice.

The room was spotless and just right, and the soft mattress was good quality, so I slept well. I liked being able to see the sea from the terrace without being right on the beach. Outside the door there’s a huge, well-kept garden with lemon trees and a beautiful pool. Makis and his family also look after three deer who lost their home in the Rodos fire, as well as peacocks and chicks. The chicks provide eggs for a great breakfast. There’s a very handy private car park too.

We added extra nights because the breakfast, especially the homemade lemonade and spinach pie, was so enjoyable. Both rooms we stayed in had their own decor with driftwood details, and the mattresses were excellent. Being right by the sea was wonderful. This turned out to be one of the nicest surprises of our whole time in Greece. Thank you, Kanari’s family!

We rented the summer house, so I can’t say anything about the rooms, but the house itself was splendid. The pool was fine, though the real highlight was how close we were to a really great beach. Breakfast was fresh, with homemade jams and, on some days, spinach pie or lokumades. Makis and his parents were warm and welcoming hosts. We were the only non-Greek visitors and had small children, and they looked after us very well. I’d highly recommend Argo and Agoii Apostoli if you’re after a quiet beach with few tourists and almost no non-Greeks.
