Vanilla Apartments Chania

The location worked out perfectly, just outside Chania and closer to the beaches on the island's western side. Our room was cleaned every day, the bed was very comfortable, and the service was so kind. The place itself felt spacious and luxurious. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back.

The apartments were spotless, and the layout worked perfectly for us. We felt welcome and well looked after throughout a gorgeous stay. I'd recommend it 110%!

We stayed in September. I forgot to review on Airbnb, so I'm leaving my feedback here. The room itself wasn't bad, but a few things didn't feel right for a suite at that price. The check-in was a mess. We were outside with our bags and child, waiting for an entry code, until someone eventually came late and let us in. We'd also clearly said we needed a crib because we had a baby, and were told not to worry because one would be there. We arrived late and found no crib, so the baby spent the first night on the already small bed with us. The whirlpool took almost a day to get to around 10°C. Its water is under the bathroom window, which was open when we arrived and had no mosquito net. The suite was full of mosquitoes, and there weren't nets anywhere, something Greece really needs. The bed was cramped and very uncomfortable, and seemed to be the smallest I'd had, maybe 160x180 cm. My feet stuck out. Parking was narrow and awkward too. We booked a car right after booking the suite, and I asked very clearly whether the price covered everything, including insurance. I was told yes, it was the full price with comprehensive cover. Then we arrived and had to pay a €350 deductible as a deposit. We scratched the car, and they kept the €350. That felt like a hidden cost. That part and the crib were issues with Beonholidays, the booking company. This is meant as feedback to improve things, not a complaint.
