Villa Georgia Apartments & Suites

The hosts were so warm and welcoming. Faris and his family made sure we had everything we needed, and the rooms were extremely clean with a comfy bed. The view from the room is breathtaking, and the neighborhood cats were the cherry on top for me. It's a dreamy place and location. I'd happily stay again if I visit Chania.

Villa Georgia lived up to what the reviews promised. The room was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Fanis was a perfect host, friendly, welcoming, and helpful both before the trip and while we were there. Nothing was too much trouble, and his local knowledge was a real bonus. The place sits on a hill, so the balcony has a fabulous sea view. It's peaceful and quiet, with nearly everything you need right on your doorstep, even if you don't hire a car. Kalamaki beach is small, clean, and sandy. When it's not windy, the sea is as still as a mill pond; the bay views are lovely, and the sunbeds are very comfortable. Chania is a 15 minute drive away, and the park and ride is excellent. The city is stunning, full of bars and restaurants, with cute cobbled streets and good shopping. It comes alive at night without that 'Brit's abroad' feel, and you could easily spend a few days exploring. Fanis arranged our Samaria Gorge hike with a local tour company. It's a challenging 16k walk, taking us about 7-8 hours, so bring hiking shoes or boots and a rucksack. The 6am start is worth it: after the hike, you can swim in the sea, then take an hour long ferry to where the coach collects you for the journey back. It's a long day, but the views are honestly awesome. If you'd like somewhere you can come and go as you please, without a hotel's schedule, you can't go wrong with this lovely place.

A nice apartment with a kitchenette and a beautiful ocean view from the balcony. Chania is 15 to 20 minutes away.

The sea view was wonderful to wake up to over coffee each morning. We spent a week in the suite, and the room was clean. Our host was extremely friendly and helpful, and the price felt great for the quality. We'll definitely come back.
