Monolia Maisonettes

Mrs Virginia made sure we had home-cooked breakfast brought right to our door, which was lovely. The maisonettes are new, spotless, and nicely decorated, with beautiful views from inside and from each private balcony or veranda. They sit in a quiet, peaceful part of the island near a pleasant pebbly beach. We'd definitely stay here again when we return to the island.

We had a wonderful three days in Chios with my wife, thanks in large part to Virginia. The welcome drink and pastry were delicious, and the maisonette's full sea view was gorgeous. Virginia was a great host, and her tips on attractions were always useful. You'll need a car to make the most of the location. We're grateful she helped make the trip so memorable.

The location worked well for us, about 15-20 minutes from the center and roughly half an hour from the best-known villages and beaches. There are also plenty of small beaches and family-run restaurants nearby. During our 11 days at Monolia Maisonettes on our first trip to Chios in 2024, it really felt like home. Virginia greeted us warmly and politely, showed us around, and was always helpful when we asked about the island, from restaurants and beaches to museums. She felt like a caring local friend on holiday, and we appreciated that a lot. The maisonette was bright, spotless, and stylish, with thoughtful decor and lovely views of the sea and island. It was new and in great condition, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We especially liked the big windows, the minimalist bathroom, and the shampoo and shower gel made with mastiha, the island's prized product. The built-in air-conditioning was set to a comfortable temperature and didn't blow air directly at us. We're looking forward to staying here again.

We were so happy and grateful for our stay in one of Virginia's lovely maisonettes. Cleanliness matters a lot to us, and her cleaning staff didn't miss a corner or a high beam. The place was spotless, well equipped, and laid out with real care. You can tell she has put a lot of thought into how a holiday rental feels, from the details in the interior to the calm, soothing atmosphere. Each maisonette has its own sea view. For us, the location was a great middle ground, close enough to things but far enough away to relax. Chios has countless great places to eat, but we also made good use of the kitchen. This is a late thank you, but we really appreciated the peaceful, refreshing stay.
