Being a little above the village made the place feel calm and peaceful, and there's a great swimming pool complex for apartment guests. Marina and her mother were kind and welcoming. Our spacious, comfortable apartment was well equipped and spotlessly clean, with daily cleaning. We could see down the valley to the sea and across to the mountains.

The apartments are in a lovely, quiet spot, with a nice terrace to sit on. They're up a bit of a hill, which was fine for us but may not suit everyone. The beach was about an 8 minute walk, and shops and restaurants were just down the road. The pool, down quite a few steps, was clean and lovely, with a bar serving drinks and food. Our room was cleaned daily, and the AC was great after days out exploring. We arrived late on Monday because our transfer was delayed, but Marina and her mum were there to show us to our place. The rooms are basic but very clean. There's just a double cooking ring, which was fine since we planned to eat out. We'd definitely stay again.

Marina, her elderly mother and her daughter Emmanuela were charming and helpful. The cleaning staff came every day to clean and change the sheets and towels. They were friendly, and the service was above what we expected. The apartments are wonderfully managed, and I thoroughly recommend them. We stayed from the 16th to the 23rd of September. We're 70 and reasonably fit, and managed the stairs up to our apartment well. But if you have serious mobility issues, the steps may make these apartments unsuitable.

Update: we came back for another holiday at Marina 6 years later, post-Covid, and it was still a wonderful place to stay. Everything was excellent again. The welcome was lovely, and the people at Marina were friendly and diligent. Our room was clean, tidy and well equipped. The pool is in a very pretty setting, with a pool bar, and may be the best in Agios Gordios. There are quite a few steps to climb back up from it. The road outside has some traffic, though the setting is mostly quiet, and there's enough parking alongside the apartments. We hope to return again.

The staff were nice, especially the woman who owns the place. The room was nice and cleaned often and thoroughly. The pool was great, and the bar and restaurant served really good food. They made the best pina coladas I've ever had. It's a really nice hotel, about a 5-10 minute walk from the beach.
