Villa Sofia Apartments

The villa is in a great spot, close to the beach and lively main street, but the stay was disappointing. The rooms feel very old and musty, and the air conditioning works but is old too. The tiny shower has a curtain, so water gets all over the floor. We couldn't close the window until the owner came to help. There's a kitchen, but no chairs, so eating means sitting on the beds or going outside. Communication was hard because the owner spoke little English. Booking said there was daily cleaning, but it wasn't happening. We had to ask, and the owner said cleaning wasn't included in the price. The towels were rough and old. We left a day early. For what you get, it's really expensive, and I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The location is convenient, near the beach and shops, and the villa looks lovely from outside with a nice front garden. Inside, though, the rooms smell musty and aren't well soundproofed. The old AC worked, but the towels were rough and very old, and the bathroom soap seemed watered down. They only took out the trash, with no room cleaning. It's okay if you don't spend much time in the room, but for the price I can't recommend it.

I love the location, but I won't come back. The AC in the second bedroom leaked a lot onto the wardrobe, so we couldn't use it. During the week, the bed sheets were never changed. Towels were changed on the second day, and the rubbish bin was emptied that same day, then it stayed overfull for the rest of the week. Communication was a major problem because the owner and staff spoke almost no English, and all our messages with the owner went through Booking chat. On the second day, after we'd washed our aqua shoes with a hose at the beach house and wiped up the floor, it was still a little wet. The owner came in, shouted at us in his language, took the hose, smashed it in front of us, and threw it downstairs. My little girl was frightened. The next day Booking messaged to say there was a tap downstairs for washing aqua shoes. He hadn't explained any of this to us beforehand. In my opinion, Booking shouldn't accept owners like this. Please check owners first, they need to know at least a little English.

The host was friendly and the room was comfortable. It's a five-minute walk to the beach, and there's parking near the villa. The way in is very narrow and could be difficult for some drivers. I can only recommend it.
