Voula Apartments

The pool and lovely staff were the only real positives. We paid extra for a sea-view room, and while the view was nice, it cost far too much for what we got. The room was incredibly small. The apartment feels very old and hasn't been refurbished in a long, long time. The shower was broken, the towels were grey, and the bath was old and badly stained. The restaurant was also way overpriced. There are nicer places on Mykonos for much better value.

Hassan, the hotel manager, really made our stay. He arranged last-minute pickups and drop-offs, shared useful island tips and suggestions, and went above and beyond from start to finish. The rooms are simple but clean, with gorgeous views. The location worked well for us, close to the beach and a 20-minute bus ride from Mykonos centre. Buses picked up and dropped off outside the apartment every half hour. The price was reasonable, and we'd happily return to Voula apartments and recommend it to friends.

The pool area had stunning views, and watching the sun go down from there was lovely. We also enjoyed two beautiful beaches within walking distance, including the beach below the apartment where Shirley valentine was filmed. It was easy to take a bus to ornos beaches and mykonos town for less than 2 euros. Our apartment was lovely, with an amazing sea view, a clean room, a comfy bed and fresh white towels each day. Voula and the staff took great care of us. We had a wonderful holiday, thank you. We'll be back. James & Linda x

The family running the resort made sure we felt comfortable. We met the granny who owns the place, her daughter, hubby and their son. Hassan was especially helpful and is a wonderful cook. We loved his pizzas and pasta, and the restaurant stays open until 1 in the night. Antonio at reception was cheerful and welcoming, and Hassan went out of his way for us. It's a calm spot compared with the rest of Mykonos, so it worked perfectly for a family with kids. The rooms were comfortable and we had a good time in the pool. A mini supermarket is just 100 metres away, the bus stop is a two-minute walk, and the beautiful beach is five minutes away. From our room we could see the lovely blue-water beach, and some rooms also look over the pool. The location is amazing.
