Icthyoessa

We came as a couple with our dog and found this place by chance, knowing nothing about Ikaria. It turned into probably the best vacation we've ever had. Mrs. Eftychia and her daughter kept the rooms clean and supplied with what we needed each morning, and Maria was warm and answered our questions on the phone before we arrived. She'd also put together a booklet of her own notes on what to see around the island, which was really useful. Therma itself is lovely, with good food and a beautiful beach. Ichthyoessa is just 100 meters away, and Iero and Agios Giorgis, two of the island's most beautiful beaches, are close too. Our room was spotless and practical. Thank you for an unforgettable holiday. We're already planning to return to Ichthyoessa!

A friendly, welcoming staff and room service every two or three days, including fresh linens. The room is basic but comfortable, with a small private bathroom, a little terrace for breakfast, and a small refrigerator, stovetop, and sink.

Maria and Paul were warm and funny hosts, and Roula, the housekeeper, was fantastic and so lovely. Communication was excellent, and they were always helpful. We stayed 12 nights and felt so comfortable that we'd gladly return. It's an ideal base for relaxing and visiting the hot springs. The room, No. 10, was pleasant, with good beds, a well-equipped kitchen, a decent bathroom, and plenty of storage. Everything worked well and was cleaned perfectly each day, with bed linens and towels changed frequently. We also enjoyed the balcony overlooking the mountain slopes and alleyway, where there was often something entertaining to watch. You can walk to the beach, spa, tavernas, bars, café, bakery, mini-market, and car rental in five minutes or less. The harbor town of Agios Kirykos is a 20-minute walk. The drawbacks were occasional rattling mopeds and motorcycles in the alley, especially early in the morning and in the evening, and Wi-Fi that was sometimes weak. Even with the engine noise, we thought it was 100% worth the money.

The place is kept very well and spotlessly clean. Everyone is so hospitable. Thank you, Maria, we can't wait to come back!
