Villa Thelgo

Villa 3 felt like paradise, with lovely balcony views to wake up to and a really clean place to stay. The villa had its own swimming pool, which was great for a dip during the day or at night, and we were in awe of the whole experience. Chris and panda were great hosts, tried to accommodate all our requests, and shared some interesting history about Mykonos. The only downside is the remote location, so you need a taxi to reach most places.

The pool is shared among the four Villas of Villa Thelgo and ranges from 4ft to 10ft deep. If you’re not a strong swimmer, it’s best to stay in the shallow end. We were lucky to have it to ourselves during our stay, and had a great time swimming and sunbathing. Big blue pool towels were provided in the Villa. We stayed a week in Villa Thelgo - Villa 2, and it felt like a home away from home. The rooms were spacious, the view over Psarrou beach was lovely, and the villa had thoughtful basics like towels, toiletries, dishwasher tablets, bin liners, dish soap, and a clothes rack. Thanks to Panda, Chris, Manus, and the housekeeping ladies for looking after us. The taxi service was excellent too, with punctual, friendly, professional drivers. Panda can arrange a taxi for €25 per trip. Chora is about a 40-minute walk away, and there are side roads if you’re up for the walk. With eight of us, the fare worked out cheap as chips. The nearest shop is around a 10 to 15 minute walk for groceries. There’s wifi, but the TV isn’t smart, so bring an HDMI cable or Chromecast if you want to watch Netflix. Chris kindly lent us his own HDMI cable, which was much appreciated. A portable speaker would also come in handy for playing music over Bluetooth. We had a week to remember and would definitely return to Mykonos.

We wanted a quiet, relaxing place away from the tourists, and this was just right. The island views were beautiful, and it was easy to head out and enjoy island life whenever we felt like it. Beaches and nightlife were close, with everything no more than a 20-minute drive away. Chris was fantastic, making sure we had what we needed and helping us get around the island. I’d definitely recommend it.

Chris was our driver, picked us up from the airport, and offered taxis for 25 euro. He’s a real guide to Mykonos, and I’d trust his opinions. The organization and service were great, and the views were incredible. It was lovely to relax and enjoy the villa amenities while looking out over Mykonos. Check out the photos in this review 🤩
