The apartment had a nice balcony, a kitchenette and basic cooking gear. They lent us a sun umbrella for free. The beach was a four minute walk, with a shop and bus stop right by the hotel. We could park our scooter out front, but finding a car space was much harder since Agios Nikitas gets quite busy.

We went by boat from Agios Nikitas beach to Milos beach on our third visit there, since the hike can be tough in the heat. Agios Nikitas is also within walking distance of its own beach and makes a handy base for the beaches on Lefkada’s west side. For exploring more of the island, a car is useful, though parking close to the hotel was hard in high season. I found an easy spot five minutes up the road, then loaded and unloaded in front of the hotel. If you don’t want to drive around, you can still take a bus to Lefkada town, Nydri for a boat cruise, or Kathisma beach. Bring an umbrella to the beaches, as the sun is strong and there’s no natural shade. We booked a studio through our travel agency. It had a twin bed and a separate bed for our child, a table and three chairs, a bathroom with shower and toilet, a small kitchenette with two electric burners and a little fridge, plus a balcony with another table and three chairs. There was also a TV, cabinet, closet and AC. It met our expectations, though the kitchen gear was limited. We mostly made coffee, but basic meals like pasta or soup would be possible. The market across the road had water, soft drinks, bread, pastries and other essentials, including plastic cutlery that came in handy. The receptionist was warm and helpful when we arrived late, and we could go straight to the room, shower and find a late dinner. On checkout day, we left our bags in the lobby and could return for bathroom breaks while spending the afternoon out. The room was cleaned daily. The hotel sits by the main road, next to a pharmacy, market and car rental. The walk down the main street to the beach passes plenty of taverns and shops. It was our first time in Lefkada, and we had a great stay.

For 120€ for four people, the price is good. The rooms feel a bit cramped, especially the upstairs “room”, which is tucked up under the ceiling. Still okay for what it costs.

Kostas was great! The location is spot on, the room was great too, and the balcony was really spacious. The beach is close by.
