Ionis Hotel

My family of two adults and five kids was pushed out of the rooms we had booked and paid for in the middle of our vacation, with no good reason. We booked two triple rooms through Booking. The conditions allowed one extra baby to stay free in either room. At check-in, we were rudely told we had too many people and had booked wrong, and should have called directly to ask for some bigger room that wasn’t listed. We couldn’t have known about that ahead of time. They eventually let us check into the rooms we’d paid for. The rooms were very old. I pointed out a broken wall socket, and management said they didn’t know, it had been okay last time. They later “fixed” it by taping it to the wall with paper tape. The kids were scared and wanted to sleep together, so we moved a mattress into one room. The next day, management told us to stop eating in the room because we had caused an ant infestation, despite ants and other insects having been around the hotel from the start. A manager noticed the moved mattress but said nothing then. Later, they messaged us through Booking to say we had to stop eating in the rooms, move the mattress back, and use both rooms. Then another socket came out of the wall when I normally pulled out my phone charger. When I reported it, the management ladies accused me of breaking it on purpose. I tried to explain that the kids were too scared to sleep apart, but one of them yelled at me, said bad things about my children, and screamed that we had to leave immediately without a refund. I recorded it on video. With Booking’s support, we were told the hotel would refund us something, far less than the cost of the unused nights, but that we still had to leave. I lost a whole vacation day finding somewhere for my family to sleep in a village where almost everything was already booked. We moved between different hotels for the next three days, and each had polite, helpful staff and management. I still don’t know what caused the Ionis Hotel management to act so rudely. This was the first time in my life I’d experienced anything like it. Those ladies should be fired immediately and never work with people again. EDIT: My review is completely real and honest. I’ve no reason to post something fake or hurt a business. I described what happened to me. The hotel remembers the situation and is choosing to lie instead of improving as a host. I can post the hotel invoice anytime if they keep insisting.

Quiet and peaceful, a great place to relax. The rooms were spotless, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the beach is really close. I’d definitely stay again!

The owner was friendly and helpful, and we had a lovely stay. Rooms were clean, and the location is convenient for the beach and restaurants. We absolutely recommend it!

Agios Nikitas is a beautiful, relaxing seaside village with everything you need, like shops and restaurants. To reach the hotel, you have to park outside the village and walk 7-10 minutes with your luggage. When we arrived, the owner demanded the full room price immediately. We asked to go upstairs for five minutes to drop off our luggage, then I’d pay at reception, even with a deposit for the first night. She started shouting, and then we had an argument with her daughter. That was not the warm welcome we expected. The room was overpriced for what it offered, with an uncomfortable bed and a small bathroom. It cost 100€ without breakfast or 120€ with breakfast. The air conditioning worked well, and the room was very clean. But the experience was terrible because of the owner's behavior. Guests should be treated with respect, and we weren’t. I wouldn’t recommend it. EDIT: My review is 100% real and honest. I have no reason to make up a review or harm a business. I’m describing my experience honestly. You remember the situation, but you’ve chosen to lie instead of changing and becoming a better host. If you keep insisting, I can post the hotel invoice anytime.
