Alantha Apartments

The staff made the stay feel especially welcoming. Our apartment was spacious, nicely furnished and had everything we needed, plus a lovely balcony. It was clean and serviced every day, and both the air conditioning and Wi-Fi worked well. There’s a rooftop pool with a nice view, and the bar serves drinks, snacks and meals. Cosy, comfortable, charming place.

The rooftop pool really amazed us, and the sea and town views made it a lovely place to spend an evening. There’s a comfortable patio above the pool with sofas, tables and desk games, perfect for watching the sunset with a glass of wine. We’d happily recommend the place to families. It was quiet and pleasant, with helpful management who did their best to make us comfortable. Our two-room apartment had two new Japanese Fujitsu air conditioners, one in each room, included in the price. They were very quiet at night. The rooms were spacious, clean and cleaned daily, and the windows sealed well, so noise isolation was good. Wi-Fi coverage and speed were great, steadily around 3 Mbps, enough for watching online TV and YouTube over meals on the terrace. There’s no restaurant, since each apartment has a kitchenette. The basement game room has free table tennis and billiards. The hotel occupies two five-floor buildings, both with shiny elevators, so hauling luggage wasn’t necessary. This was the best apartment we’ve stayed in across five trips to Greece, including stays in three- to five-star hotels. By a regular rating scale, I’d give it a solid four stars.

The reception is spacious and comfortable, and there’s also a courtyard garden with tables and chairs. Alantha Apartments has two linked buildings, with lifts in each, connected by steps and walkways. The rooftop pool and snack bar are open daily from 8 am to 8 pm. Our apartment had a bedroom with a six-foot bed, a bathroom with a bath and shower, and a family room with two sofa beds, a kitchenette and a dining table. Rooms are comfortable and roomy, and housekeeping comes daily. Most have one or two balconies, some looking out toward the sea or garden. The place is very clean and well managed, with friendly staff.

We were about a 10-minute stroll from the restaurants around the lake, with more restaurants and bars another 10 minutes in the other direction. Great spot, and we’d absolutely stay again. Our clean studio had a comfortable bed, a nice balcony, air conditioning and a safe included in the price, plus free Wi-Fi. It overlooked a small courtyard rather than the sea. The staff were polite, friendly and very helpful with information about the island.
