Aparthotel 1 Star Agios Nikolaos

Eliza and her father George made us feel so welcome it was like staying in a private home. The rooms have small kitchens equipped for preparing a simple meal. It's a short walk to the town centre, and you can catch a local bus to town or nearby villages. Taxis are inexpensive. Hotel Eliza is a lovely find on the edge of Agios Nicholaos. It's small, tidy and clean, with a beautiful garden and a quiet setting away from the busy tourist scene.

We had a car and, following our hosts' advice, explored Mirabello Bay, the Lasithi Plateau, and the authentic towns and villages around the region. The bus stop nearby also serves routes to Elounda and Plaka, where you can take a boat to the mysterious isle of Spinalonga. Restaurants, taverns, shops, and the heart of Agios Nikolaos are just a few steps away, yet it was peaceful and quiet enough to rest. We spent an unforgettable week at Hotel Eliza. The hosts were warm and thoughtful, listened to us, and gave helpful advice. The flower-filled shady garden is beautiful, and every accommodation has its own terrace with privacy, seating, and shade. The pool was very clean and open throughout the day. Our apartment felt like a traditional Cretan maisonette, full of character and away from the usual. We'd recommend Eliza hotel to anyone who likes an authentic, welcoming place.

The owners were so welcoming and kind that I felt like part of the family. Eliza Hotel has spacious, comfortable rooms decorated in a traditional Cretan style, with lovely sea views and several beaches within walking distance. It’s in a quiet area away from the busy city centre, but still close to everything you need. I had a wonderful stay in Agios Nikolaos and would definitely recommend it.

The hosts were welcoming and the accommodation was comfortable, very clean, and felt like home. The pool area was lovely for relaxing and cooling off. I also enjoyed the cold coffees they brought each morning.
