Enorme Santanna Island

Vicky gave me an amazing massage. She was very professional and made it genuinely relaxing. The rest of the staff were friendly and welcoming too. Enorme Santanna Island is beautiful, modern, very clean, and has a calm atmosphere with lovely sea views. I had a wonderful stay, would recommend it, and would love to come back!

The cocktails were a highlight, easily the best we’ve had at an all-inclusive, and we loved unwinding at the Aperol spritz bar in the evenings. The hotel is beautiful and looks just like the photos. We quickly found our way around, even though I thought I’d need a map. The staff were so warm and attentive. They really made an effort to make sure I had enough to eat at both the buffet and à la carte restaurants, which meant a lot since I’m coeliac and vegan. My partner and I loved our stay. We were there over a week ago and still keep talking about it. We’d love to come back someday.

The only thing missing for me was Nutella at breakfast, and I’m sure I’m not the only German guest who’d notice! Otherwise, we had good food, plenty of pools and bars, and tasty cocktails and beer. We arrived before check-in time and asked at reception when our room would be ready. They offered us a drink and asked us to wait a few minutes. Then they came back to say someone would collect us, and they did, bringing our luggage in a golf cart. The place is modern, clean and high standard, with extremely friendly staff.

The spa was a real treat on my first solo trip, and Stavras gave me an amazing treatment. I was glad the team managed to fit me in for another appointment two days later. The views were incredible, the room was just the right size for me, and I liked having a Smart TV. I also enjoyed the quiet poolside lounge areas, away from the busier spots. I had a relaxing time at Enorme Santanna Island, especially as this was my first holiday in more than three years. Check-in was smooth, and the seaside location felt safe for me travelling alone. There’s a handy shop for snacks and souvenirs. The buffet food was great, and Mary and the team were always kind and friendly. It was also nice to have other restaurants nearby if I wanted them. My main disappointment was the state of the room. I saw small insects stuck to the wall when I arrived, which made me a little uneasy, though not terribly so. On my last morning I found a stain on the mattress that looked like dirt or blood. It was well hidden, but I felt a bit sick realizing I’d slept on it during my stay. Some of the towels were dirty too. Loungers were claimed quickly despite the warnings against reserving them, so sometimes I had to walk around looking for a spot. The pool bar basically didn’t exist, and getting a drink meant going almost to the other side of the resort. Service at the Italian bar was a bit slow during the day and I didn’t feel as looked after there, so I only went once. I’m happy I came here to relax by myself, and overall I had a great time. Still, the room cleanliness was a big letdown. It felt more like a four-star place than a five-star one, though the location, looks and staff were good.
