Lato Hotel

Ormos beach was our favourite, just a five-minute walk away, quiet and unspoilt. We had a lovely ten-day stay, with the hotel tucked away from the busy centre but close enough to walk into town, and some nice restaurants nearby. The buffet breakfast had lots of choice, and the hotel and our room were kept very clean, with daily servicing. Everyone was friendly, especially the kitchen ladies and cleaners. Halfway through the holiday we were moved to a sea-view room, and the views were stunning. Thanks, Lato, for a wonderful holiday.

We stopped for one night on the spur of the moment and had a pleasant stay. The room was fine, and the staff were helpful and pleasant. We liked being somewhere quiet, a little apart from the busy centre of Agios Nikolaos. Breakfast was an easygoing buffet. We’d come back. Thanks, guys, and have a great summer!

This was our fourth stay, and it’s always fun to meet friends from previous years for happy hour in the evening. There are plenty of good dinner spots nearby, and it’s well placed for walking into town, boat trips, or hiring a car to see Lasithi Plateau, Moclos, Sissi, and Kritsa. The staff are friendly, breakfast is lovely, and the place is beautifully clean. The new pool steps are a great improvement.

We had to switch rooms because the first one was too small for us, though the view was amazing. It’s a small, traditional, family-run hotel, and the staff are pleasant and really try to help. Jeanette at the bar is fabulous fun, and her chips are the best! There’s a lovely beach bar down the road, a handful of restaurants nearby, and the main centre is a ten-minute walk or a 6 euro taxi ride. Breakfast was fab too, with home-cooked pastries and cakes. One of the nicest places we’ve stayed. (July 2022) We’ll definitely return.
