I’d planned to stay by the lake, but I’m glad I chose this place instead. It’s right on the ocean, centrally located, and less than a five-minute walk from the main square. The apartment is modern, new and peaceful, with new appliances and everything needed to cook, including an espresso machine. There’s hot water, air conditioning and heating, and a TV with streaming apps. They even provided fruit, eggs, coffee pods and raki, which I hadn’t expected. The view was unmatched. You could watch the sunrise straight from the balcony, or even from bed or the bath. It was very quiet during our February low-season stay, though I’m not sure whether that changes in peak season. The owner was lovely and made us feel welcome. This was easily the best place I stayed on my trip to crete. Thanks so much, I’d definitely stay again.

The location made getting around easy, even for me on foot as a runner. There’s a supermarket nearby, the tourist area is an easy walk, and the beach club and beaches are just around the corner. The room was roomy, spotless, and tidied every day, with a lovely view, comfy bed, great shower, and luxury toiletries. I didn’t use the bath in the room. They were so helpful and gave us a warm welcome. The fridge had fruit, bread, eggs, and wine, plus crackers, jam, coffee, tea, oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper. You can eat at the neighbors' too. Tomesogiaco at number 12 on the left doesn’t look like much from outside, but the food is delicious and costs much less than other places here. Truly fantastic.

The sea view was the best part for us. In the morning, we watched the sunrise from bed through the big windows, and the balcony was lovely for relaxing during the day. We felt very comfortable and had a wonderful holiday. The apartment itself was modern and had everything we needed. They topped up basics like Nespresso coffee, oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, and sugar when needed. There was fruit, wine, and water as a welcome gift, and fresh oregano grew on the balcony. The bathroom had shower gel, shampoo, and a diffuser hairdryer that worked on thick hair. The window fly screens came in handy with all the mosquitoes. There’s also a drying rack on the balcony. A few more hooks, especially in the bathroom, would have helped, though we managed with the wardrobe hangers. It’s in a building between two restaurants on a moderately busy street. Most of the time it was quiet, with more activity on weekend evenings. Seannamon Suites had only recently opened, so the entrance wasn’t quite finished and some construction was happening, but it was manageable. You’d need somewhere more secluded for complete quiet. I wish communication with the hosts had been better. I expected a message with stay information after the Booking.com confirmation, but had to ask about check-in myself. The apartment markers on Google Maps were also wrong then, which made the entrance hard to find. A short information email would make arrival easier and avoid the worry that it could be a scam. The markers have since been corrected.

We came for a week hoping for comfort and a pleasant setting, but spent it in what felt like a construction zone. The accommodation is habitable, though both the upper and lower floors are unfinished, and the nearby street is full of buildings being renovated. The comfort was low. Every morning, several jackhammers woke us and kept going until the workday ended. When we raised it with the landlord, he waved us off, saying the work was legal and there was nothing he could do. That response felt unprofessional and unfriendly to customers. At the exorbitant price, renting the place out without warning about the noise shows callousness. Anyone booking should expect a construction site atmosphere, not a vacation, and working there would be difficult too. Even if the work is finished in 2-5 years and everything is technically sound, the landlord's behavior makes it seem that integrity and customer service aren't priorities when problems come up.

Just a 5-minute walk from Agios' main square, this apartment is wonderful. It’s all brand new, with quality materials and a well-equipped kitchen, including a hob, oven, toaster, and coffee maker. The bedding is very good too.
