We were nine family members staying in three lovely villas at Vangelis Villas, and absolutely loved our time there. Minolis brought extra tables and chairs so we could have an outdoor banquet each evening. Daily cleaning was a nice surprise. The rooms are spacious, airy, and up to date without losing their Cretan charm. The setting is stunning, on a terraced hillside sloping down to the blue sea. It feels more secluded than it is because of the steep drop from the main road, which connects easily to Aigios Nicholaos and beyond. Stone terraces wind through charming planted gardens down to the water. The shore is rocky, but the access has been terraced nicely. You can enter by a narrow beach or jump from the jetty into deep blue water for some great snorkelling. Thanks, Villas Vangelis. I only wish we could have stayed longer!

We found it much easier to get around with a hire car, though taxis are easy to arrange. Most places are too far to reach on foot. Back at the hotel, the pool was a real highlight: it's spacious, with lots of loungers, and there's also easy sea access with loungers nearby. Our room was roomy and clean, and the hotel itself was easy to find and spotless, so arrival was simple. The staff and management were lovely and quick to help with taxis or local tips. I'd happily return.

Breakfast tastes good, and the view while eating is amazing. The rooms and beds are great, and the kitchen has everything you need for your stay. It's a very quiet spot, with a lovely little beach right outside and a huge, deep saltwater pool, 2.7 m, open all day. Wow!

We had breakfast and dinner freshly made and served on the terrace right by the ocean. The apartments were spotless, with daily cleaning, and the service was lovely and helpful. Such a wonderful place to stay, with a mesmerizing sea view. We'll definitely be back.

There’s so much room to unwind here, and the people are very friendly. Our apartment had plenty of space inside and a private outdoor area, plus a lovely big pool and easy access to the sea. The view is a dream. Snorkeling was fun too: bring a little bread and you can watch all the fish.
