We spent most of our time on the terrace, just taking in a view that’s even better than the photos. The atmosphere is wonderfully calm, and the Villas are incredible. The hosts are among the kindest people we’ve met while travelling. If you need to disconnect and recharge, this felt like a five-star stay in every way.

Altera was the highlight of our Crete trip. The villa feels thoughtfully put together, with premium touches throughout. The hosts made us feel like family, shared useful local tips, and kept everything running smoothly. It was so peaceful that we felt as though we had the whole island to ourselves. Highly recommended for a quiet, high-quality getaway.

At Altera Cave Villas, the design pairs modern, high-end style with Crete’s raw beauty. We’ve stayed at plenty of luxury places, but this one is in a league of its own, with quality throughout. It’s tucked into such a quiet area you can actually hear the silence. The hosts made sure we had what we needed while giving us our privacy.

We were there for two nights in October, and it was wonderful in every way. The villa is luxurious and has everything you need, and breakfast was really nice. It’s a spectacular setting, with sea views, a peaceful area, no noise, and an incredibly clear night sky. We’ll definitely return.

For my family and me, this is the BEST PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN. Penelope and her husband are the most welcoming people. Thanks for everything, we’re looking forward to seeing you again soon. Wolf's and duppi
