The apartment was clean and tidy, with plenty of space and all the things we needed for staying, relaxing, cooking, and washing. Outside, there was a lovely botanical terrace and garden, plus a safe place to park the car. The host and his parents communicated so well, and treated us to generous, delicious surprises and a Greek dinner. It felt like visiting relatives on a Greek island. By car, the airport and Zakynthos are about 15 minutes away, Laganas strip is 5 minutes, and other parts of the island take around 40-50 minutes at most. Good restaurants, a beach, markets, and Laganas port are also within walking distance.

The front yard was nice, but that doesn't help when you're trying to sleep or wash. The furniture was old and smelled bad. We couldn't use the bedroom closet because of the odor and lack of shelves, and the kitchen furniture smelled too and felt very unstable. The towels were smelly as well, so I'd bring your own. There was nowhere in the bathroom to put towels or toiletries. There wasn't a mosquito net in the bedroom, and a few of us got bitten by bedbugs. The bedroom door was stuck and wouldn't close.

We slept well in a clean, cozy room that had everything we needed, from sheets and towels to kitchen furniture and a hairdryer, plus a baby bed. The place has a lovely Italian-Greek look inside and out, and it's close to the beach, shops, and restaurants. It was quiet too, with only birds and frogs to hear. The host and his parents were incredibly friendly and generous. Definitely worth the price, 10/10. We'd recommend the villa and would love to come back someday. :)
